In this respect, the compatibility of the current temporary housing of AFAD with the Universal Standard Guidelines for Disabled, the status of meeting the needs of disabled people in terms of accessibility in the temporary disaster housing and the effects of orthopedic disability situations on these needs have been investigated. The research was carried out by experiencing the temporary disaster housing space created in virtual environment with orthopedic disabled individuals and recommendations for the improvement was established in the light of the obtained data. With the created recommendations, based on the 245 criteria in the Universal Standard Guidelines for Disabled, the number of compatible criteria in the current situation has been increased from 67 to 142, resulting in an improvement of 208%. This research and improvement recommendations is about accessing the rights...Bu çalışmada Türkiye‟deki mevcut konteyner geçici afet konutlarının ortopedik engelli bireylerin erişilebilirliği açısından analiz edilmesi ve elde edilen veriler ışığında iyileştirme önerileri oluşturulması hedeflenmektedir. Bu doğrultuda AFAD‟ın kullanmakta olduğu, engelliler için geçici afet konutlarının tasarımının Engelliler için Evrensel Standartlar Kılavuzu‟na uyumluluğu, mevcut geçici konutun engelli bireylerin erişebilirliği açısından ihtiyaçlarını karşılama durumu ve ortopedik engellilik durumlarının bu ihtiyaçlara etkileri araştırılmıştır. Araştırma, ortopedik engelli bireylerin sanal ortamda oluşturulan geçici afet konutu mekânını deneyimlemesi ile gerçekleştirilmiş ve elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda geçici afet konut tasarımlarına iyileştirme önerileri oluşturulmuştur. Oluşturulan öneriler ile Engelliler için Evrensel Standartlar Kılavuzu‟nda bulunan 245 kriter baz alınarak, mevcut durumda bulunan uyumlu kriter sayısı 67‟den 142‟ye çıkarılarak %208‟lik bir iyileşme sağlanmıştır.
