AKSOY, Nüzhet BerrinEMİRKADI, Ezginaz2022-11-072022-11-072021-11-07http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.11905/1685ÖZ: Bu çalışmada, çeviribilim ve imgebilim arasındaki ilişki, yapısalcılık sonrası çeviri kuramları açısından Türkçe edebiyat metinlerinde dizgenin yansımaları olan imgeleri oluşturan kültürel, sosyal, ideolojik, tarihsel vs. unsurların çevirisi bağlamında bir zemine oturtulmaya çalışılmış ve bu çerçevede bir dizi araştırma soruları geliştirilip cevaplandırılmıştır. Bu bağlamda, Türkçe’den İngilizce’ye yapılan Anayurt Oteli adlı kitabın çevirisi, çeviribilim-imgebilim bağlamında yapısalcılık sonrası çeviri kuramları altında ele alınan Venuti’nin yabancılaştırma ve yerelleştirme stratejileri ile incelenmeden önce, Anglo-Amerikan sisteminin çeviri uygulamaları/gelenekleri/normları, Türkçe dili ve dizgesine karşılık kendini konumlandırdığı noktaya göre gerekçelendirilmeye çalışılmıştır. Kaynak dizgeye ait olan imgelerin erek dizgede çeviribilim-imgebilim ilişkisi çerçevesinde hangi gerekçeler altında erek metinde nasıl yeniden yazıldığı incelenmiştir. Bu bağlamda, tüm bu unsurlar Türkçe’den İngilizceye yapılan çeviride analiz edilmiş olmak üzere, yapısalcılık sonrası çeviri kuramları açısından Türkçe ve İngilizce dil ve dizgeleri arasındaki eşit olmayan ilişkiler, bu dizgelerin kendilerini konumlandırdıkları noktanın beraberinde getirdiği ikililikler, çevirmenin öznelliği analiz edilmiş ve kaynak dizgenin, kaynak dizgenin kültürel, sosyal ve ideolojik göstergelerinin temsilcisi olan kaynak metin imgelerinin ve çevirmenin görünürlüğü- görünmezliği ele alınmıştır. Bunun sonucunda, Türkçe edebiyat çevirisine yapısalcılık-sonrası çeviri anlayışla yaklaşılmış, erek metin odaklı olan Anglo-Amerikan çeviri dizgesinin dinamiklerinin arkasındaki sebepler gerekçelendirilmeye çalışılıp yeniden yazım yaklaşımı ile ilişkisi açıklanmış ve yukarıda bahsi geçen tüm unsurların çeviriye imgebilim-çeviribilim bağlamında nasıl yansıdığı/yansıyabileceği Venuti’nin çeviri stratejileri bağlamında incelenmiştir.In this study, the relation between translation studies and imagology is tried to be studied from a post-structural perspective in the context of translations of the components such as socio-culture, ideology etc. that constitute the images, which are the representations of the system in the Turkish literature texts. In this regard, a series of research questions were developed and answered. In this context, before examining the translation of the book titled Anayurt Oteli made from Turkish into English with Venuti's foreignization and domestication translation strategies, which are discussed under post-structural translation theories, on the basis of translation studies and imagology, the translation practices/traditions/norms of the Anglo-American system have been tried to be justified according to the position it situates itself against Turkish language and system. How images that belong to the source text are rewritten in the target text under which justifications have also been analyzed within the relation of translation studies and imagology. In this framework, the unequal relations between Turkish and English languages and systems, the binary oppositions caused by the positions these systems situate themselves, the subjectivity of the translator have been analyzed. Moreover, visibility-invisibility of the source text and the source text images, which represent the cultural, social and ideological signs of the source system and the translator, is discussed in terms of post-structuralist translation theories and all of these have been analyzed in the translation made from Turkish into English. As a result, Turkish literary translation is approached with a post-structuralist translation approach, the reasons behind the dynamics of the target text-oriented Anglo-American translation system are tried to be justified, its relationship with the rewriting approach is explained, and how all the above-mentioned elements are reflected in translation on the basis of Venuti’s translation strategies in the context of imagology-translation studies have been studied.entranslation and interpretationThesis
