Although there are many chain hotels world wide, there is lack of research in that direction. This study attempts to fill this gap by developing a theoretical framework for further empirical research to reveal important findings regarding factors that affect the choice between franchise agreements and management contracts as a means of non equity hotel development. Finally, important factors have been identified with a face to face interview, which influence a hotel company’s choice between management contracts and franchise agreement in its corporate development, followed by propositions, in an attempt to set out a guideline for further studies.Çalışmanın amacı otel yatırımcıları açısından franchising ve yönetim sözleşmesi arasında tercih sebeplerini ortaya çıkartmaya çalışmaktır. Otelcilik sektöründe uluslararası şirketlerle yapılan sözleşmeler oldukça yaygın olmasına rağmen bu alandaki öneri ve yönlendirme araştırmalarının sayısı oldukça azdır. Bu çalışma, otel yatırımcılarının yatırımlarını geliştirmede franchise veya yönetim sözleşmesi arasında seçimlerini etkileyen faktörleri teorik çerçevede yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği ile yüz yüze görüşme yapılarak ortaya çıkarmayı amaçlamıştır.trtourism and hotel managementThesis
