| dc.description | AĞIRLIKLI N’DEN-K’LI SİSTEMLERDE KAPASİTE KAYBI VE OPTİMAL TASARIMA UYGULANMASI Bu tez, ağırlıklı 𝑛 − 𝑑𝑒𝑛 − 𝑘’𝑙𝚤 sistemin bozulduğu anda kaybetmiş olduğu kapasite ile ilgilidir. Ağırlıklı 𝑛 − 𝑑𝑒𝑛 − 𝑘’𝑙𝚤 sistem 𝑛 bileşenden oluşur ve çalışan bileşenlerin toplam ağırlığı 𝑘 eşik değerine eşit veya daha büyük olduğu sürece çalışır. Bu tür sistemler, performansa dayalı görev sistemleri, güç sistemleri, ulaşım sistemleri ve üretim sistemleri gibi kapasiteye dayalı sistemlerin modellenmesi için kullanışlıdır. Bu tez, esas olarak, ağırlıklı 𝑛 − 𝑑𝑒𝑛 − 𝑘’𝑙𝚤 sistem arızalandığında sistem tarafından kaybedilen kapasiteyi ifade eden rasgele değişkene odaklanmaktadır. Bu rasgele değişkenin olasılık dağılımı, klasik olasılıksal yöntemler yoluyla türetilir. Bu rasgele değişkenin kullanışlılığı, optimal yedek bileşen sayısı ile ilgili bir optimizasyon problemi ile gösterilmiştir. | |
| dc.description.abstract | This thesis is concerned with the investigation of the lost capacity by the weighted 𝑘 − 𝑜𝑢𝑡 − 𝑜𝑓 − 𝑛 system upon its failure. A weighted 𝑘 − 𝑜𝑢𝑡 − 𝑜𝑓 − 𝑛 system is made up of n components and it operates as long as the total weight of the operating components equals or greater than the threshold 𝑘. Such systems are useful for modelling capacity-based systems such as performance-based mission systems, power systems, transportation systems and manufacturing systems. This thesis mainly focuses on the random quantity that denotes the lost capacity by the weighted 𝑘 − 𝑜𝑢𝑡 − 𝑜𝑓 − 𝑛 system at the time when the system fails. The probability distribution of this random quantity is derived via classical probabilistic arguments. The usefulness of this random quantity is demonstrated with an optimization problem which is concerned with the optimal number of spare components | |
